THE PACE was set in 2025, but 2026 is where the opportunity will really open up. Last year’s strong market and our 25‑year milestone reminded us why brokers choose Bluestone: flexible thinking, real support and lending solutions that help more clients move forward.
We introduced new products designed to make homeownership and investment more achievable for a broader range of Australians. And with more than $5.4 billion in lending to over 10,000 people, we ended the year with strong momentum and an even stronger sense of purpose. Heading into 2026, investor activity continues to climb. Investors now account for around 41% of mortgage demand, the highest share since 2016. Credit growth in investment lending is at its fastest pace in more than a decade, even with affordability pressures and a higher‑for‑longer rate environment.
Since 2000, Bluestone has been helping more Australians into homes, no matter how complex their financial story. We specialise in flexible lending solutions for people with big plans, those who are self‑employed, or anyone who needs a more considered approach.
By partnering with brokers, we open doors for borrowers who might otherwise be missed. We believe unique circumstances shouldn’t hold anyone back from owning a home. Every borrower brings a different story, and we’re here to listen, adapt and provide lending options that help them move forward with confidence.

For brokers, that means more opportunity to support clients who are ready to act but who may benefit from a lender that looks at the whole story. That’s where Bluestone will continue to focus in 2026: on backing brokers with flexible solutions and the confidence to help more people reach their property goals.
So, what’s driving this? A mix of factors:

This isn’t just a trend, and we’ve expanded our product range to give brokers an opportunity to move beyond the usual prime lending solutions. More solutions for more clients Bluestone is known for its commitment to financial inclusion, helping clients with unique or complex financial situations. We’ve doubled down on this, launching four new lending solutions designed to help you support more clients, in more ways:
These new solutions mean you can now help a broader range of clients, whether they’re self-employed, managing an SMSF, living overseas or planning to build their dream home.
Making brokers’ lives easier
I often say this: The real opportunity for brokers lies in being a true partner − someone who can deliver an approval when others only see complexity.
We’re committed to keeping things fast and simple so you can focus on helping customers. Here’s how we make it easier for you:
Looking ahead, the broader economic outlook for 2026 is positive, with continued growth expected across key sectors. For the housing market, investors are going to look for growth pockets as 2025’s record-high housing prices are compressing investor rental yields. For brokers, this means a strong environment to expand offerings, deepen client relationships and position themselves as trusted advisers in both traditional and alternative lending spaces.
Here are my top tips for brokers in 2026:

Be curious and ask questions to fully understand the customer’s circumstances and requirements. It’ll help you service a broader range of customers.
Take the time to tell the customer’s whole story – the good, the bad and the ugly, along with mitigants to address the latter two.
Build referral partnerships that can introduce a diverse range of customers. Solution-based lenders like Bluestone often have a path forward for unique circumstances.
