Mark Konecny has been in the banking and finance industry for over 30 years, with roles in business development, branch management and regional management, which has given him a great appreciation of the value of strong, supportive relationships.
Konecny has a simple philosophy, game plan and daily structure to make and develop long-lasting business relationships. His simple foundation revolves around ensuring that he does what he says he is going to do, in a consistent and timely manner and with a good degree of common sense.
The many testimonials Konecny has received describe how he is perceived in the industry, and he has been a finalist in various industry awards over the past few years. He has a great affiliation with the industry and, on top of that, enjoys being in it.
Outside of work, Konecny is a devoted family man with two children and three grandkids and is now a born-again golfer – or is trying to be.

“As the leader of a team, it’s important to motivate and encourage your team members. People work very hard and do their best and it’s important to recognize these efforts. For my career overall, my attitude has been one of curiosity. The more you can learn, the better you’ll understand the business, and then the deeper your knowledge will become, making you a better team member.”

Since joining the firm in 2015, Ryan Specialty has:

“With each acquisition and de novo formation, a large branding component is involved,” says Phillips Topping.
Speaking on the importance of spotlighting marketing professionals, Phillips Topping says, “It’s imperative to shine a light on those who aren’t necessarily brokers or underwriters. There are so many different aspects of the industry. It’s nice to show all the great work that’s being done behind the scenes.”
