Profile
Travis Love never set out to build a career in finance. It was the purchase of his own first investment property that sparked a genuine interest in lending, property investment and the difference quality financial advice can make to someone’s long-term wealth.
“What started as a personal interest quickly developed into a passion and ultimately a career,” says Love, finance strategist and team leader at Infinity Group Australia.
He is candid that the path was neither mapped out nor accidental. “I wouldn’t say my career was completely planned from the beginning, but neither was it purely by chance,” he says.
Rather than following a detailed career roadmap, he recognised an opportunity in an industry that aligned with his interests and values, then committed to continuous learning, professional development and strong client outcomes.
Love’s own purchase also shaped where he would specialise. Residential investment lending became his primary focus, and over the years, he has worked with various clients, from first-time investors buying a single property to experienced investors building substantial portfolios.
The work has given him a deep understanding of investment lending structures, portfolio growth strategies, cash flow management and the complexities of navigating lender policies across multiple properties.
What distinguishes Love’s approach as a finance strategist on the Gold Coast is the belief that good advice begins well before any product is discussed. “I focus on uncovering the ‘why’ behind their objectives,” he says.
Through detailed discovery conversations, Love works to understand a client’s position, goals and concerns, then builds a tailored strategy rather than fixating on the immediate transaction. For some that means paying off a mortgage sooner; for others, it is creating passive income or working towards financial freedom.

Client education sits at the centre of the business. Every client comes through the firm’s Money Mentor Master Class, which covers debt reduction, property investment and wealth creation.
Love believes that informed clients make better decisions, and dedicated relationship managers then keep those clients engaged with regular contact, reviews and ongoing support well beyond settlement. Many clients have stayed with him for years, and among the most rewarding parts of the role is watching them progress from buying a first home to building an investment portfolio.
The scale of the trust placed in Love is considerable. He settled more than $260 million in lending during the financial year, including investment property loans in QLD, although he is quick to reframe the figure around the people behind it.
“While the number itself is significant, what makes me most proud is what it represents – the families who have trusted me to guide them through their major financial decisions,” he says.
Staying ahead of a lending landscape shaped by shifting government policy, regulation and economic conditions is a constant, and Love treats that change as an opportunity rather than a barrier. “Rather than focusing on why something can’t be done, I focus on understanding the challenge and identifying the best possible outcome for the client,” he says.
For Love, success as a mortgage broker on the Gold Coast and in QLD comes down to a single measure: how effectively he helps clients turn their goals into reality.
“Rather than focusing on why something can’t be done, I focus on understanding the challenge and identifying the best possible outcome for the client”
