IN PARTNERSHIP with leading industry technology provider NextGen, outsource Financial is providing new training sessions that focus on how brokers can maximise the use of ApplyOnline tools throughout the application experience. The sessions also take a deep dive into new and upcoming product releases, such as the recently launched ApplyOnline ‘Access Seeker’ service, ensuring the aggregator’s brokers are educated and ready to use the tools as soon as they are available to them.
“NextGen is a critical part of our business. Opening up this conversation between our brokers and NextGen about ApplyOnline, in particular the Access Seeker service, feeds so well into our values and processes,” says Heather Gallagher, head of training and education at outsource Financial.
NextGen is Australia's leading technology solution provider to the lending industry, focused on delivering quality products and services to a range of banks, non-bank lenders and brokers. Our mission is to make lending easy by delivering best-in-class Software as a Service (SaaS), and leading the market in quality management, compliance and processing efficiencies.

As part of the new ApplyOnline Financial Passport, the Access Seeker service gives brokers upfront access to consumer credit information held by credit bureaus within the ApplyOnline application.
First introduced into ApplyOnline late last year, it allows brokers to request and assess a customer’s credit history prior to submitting an application, while not impacting their credit score or leaving an enquiry footprint.
“Consumer expectations are extremely high in terms of response times. Access Seeker reduces missing information requests and reworks and thus improves turnaround times to approval. It also drives meaningful lending conversations between the broker and consumer, creating significant efficiencies in the application workflow,” says Renee Blethyn, head of broker partnerships at NextGen.

Speaking about the new tool, Gallagher believes “the Access Seeker service aligns with outsource Financial perfectly”.
“It's a best practice for brokers because it means that they won’t submit an application to a lender that will just automatically get declined. It allows brokers to control the quality of the deal. They’re controlling the narrative,” she says.
“We encourage our brokers to use the Access Seeker service because once you click Submit on an ApplyOnline application, the lender is going to know everything about your client, so shouldn’t you know it first?”
The aggregator’s passion for education has led it to create three complimentary mentor programs, including a ‘New Entrant Mentoring Program’. NextGen will work alongside outsource Financial to provide tailored ApplyOnline training sessions to help equip new brokers with foundational knowledge of the tools and features within the platform that boost efficiencies as they build their businesses.
Speaking about the partnership, Blethyn says: “We [NextGen] are delighted to be partnering with outsource Financial on their New Entrant Mentoring Program. outsource Financial has a real commitment to educate, empower and provide guidance to their brokers.
“NextGen invests heavily in training to help users maximise the benefits of ApplyOnline. This mentoring program helps a broker get up to speed with technology platforms like ApplyOnline and gets them to the point where they are processing loans and earning an income.
“As we look to introduce further enhancements to the platform in the coming months, this program will ensure that ApplyOnline users are ready to maximise these enhancements as soon as they become available.”
Gallagher explains that the fundamental training in technology tools like ApplyOnline is key to the career development and success of brokers.
“Brokers are always keen to learn, and so it’s critical that outsource Financial has a strong relationship with NextGen. Incorporating ApplyOnline training into our new broker mentoring program allows brokers to gain knowledge and insights into new tools and features that will save them time and energy,” says Gallagher.
With the new sessions set to take place monthly within the program, the demand for knowledge of best practice tools is more evident now than ever.
“In this industry, change happens quite frequently. These online training sessions enable brokers to not only learn about upcoming ApplyOnline features like Access Seeker but collaborate with other brokers, bounce ideas off each other and learn time-saving tips that help them achieve a faster time to yes,” says Blethyn.
